•The Josh Project, a fundraiser inspired by the memory of Josh Butts who drowned in 2006, is from noon to 6 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Stephenson Roberts Fellowship Hall, Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, 640 Indiana Ave. Special guest speakers, raffles, food, apply for a passport (birth certificate required), music, games, and prizes. •Retro Muscle Car Raffle, to benefit Harbor House, gives ticket holders a chance to win a new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Only 3,000 tickets will be available at $50 each. Call Harbor House at 419-244-6300 or go to www.harbor-house.org. Raffle will take place around Labor Day.

•Backroads Hike/Bike, sponsored by Hands of Grace, will take place on Aug. 9 at Harrison Lake State Park, 26246 Harrison Lake Rd., Fayette, Ohio. Funds raised will help Hands of Grace to provide services to the elderly and disabled in Fulton County. Activities will include a bike safety program for the children, several bike loops from 1 1/2 miles to 19.2 miles, games, face painting, and lunch. 419-822-3556.

•Golfers, sponsors, and raffle item donations needed for Golf Scramble, to benefit the athletes from Lucas County Special Olympics and Toledo Public Special Olympics, Sept. 14 at Ottawa Park Golf Course with a 1 p.m. registration and putting contest 1:45 p.m. shotgun start.
