Historical center offers antique appraisal clinic

BOWLING GREEN The Wood County Historical Center and Museum will present Cash or Trash? Antique Appraisal Clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. March 14.

Four professional appraisers with more than 80 years of experience will be available to determine if your antiques are worth some cash.

Jim O Bryant of Gem Appraisal Lab in Maumee specializes in jewelry; Jim Hurt, Jr., an auctioneer in Tiffin, Ohio, specializes in glass, pottery, furniture, and housewares; Mike Brandly, an auctioneer from Columbus, specializes in household items, and Kim Snyder, an appraiser from Cygnet, Ohio, is a third-generation antiques dealer.

The cost for an appraisal is $15 for the public and $10 for historical society members. Limit is two items per person. The museum will be open for self-guided tours.

The museum is located a half-mile from I-75 in the former county home at 13660 County Home Rd. Take exit 179, the Bowling Green exit, turn east on State Rt. 6, turn right at County Home Road.
