Wolcott history day features Maumee-area authors

A local history forum, featuring book sales and book signings, vendor and organizational exhibit tables, and oral history interviews is slated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Wolcott Museum Complex, 1031 River Road.

Author and historian Randy Buchman will open with the keynote address, followed by a round table panel on writing and publishing local history. The panel includes local authors and historians Ken Dickson, the Rev. Larry Michaels, Larry Nelson, and Jack Pacquette, plus a special presentation by WGTE-TV.

Activities include the presentation of the Local History Book Award by the Center for Archival Collections at Bowling Green State University.

The fee of $30 for the general public and $25 for Maumee Valley Historical Society members covers materials, luncheon, and refreshments. To register, go online at wolcotthouse.org, or contact the historical society at 419-893-9602.
