Recalling those here before us


Jeremiah Tohannie, 11, of Elida, Ohio, performs a prairie dance at Buttonwood Park. The burpose of the dance is to flatten tall grasses so the reset of the celebration can proceed.

The eighth annual Woodland Indian Celebration, 'They Walked Here Before Us,' was held recently at Buttonwood Park in Perrysburg.

The event included drumming, flint napping, a wildlife display, a model of a Native American village with a lacrosse field, and a children's arts and crafts tent.
