Bahnsen highlights Waterville program

Doug Bahnsen, historical interpreter and entertainer, Wednesday will make a presentation, "The Canal Boat Captain," during a program sponsored by the Waterville Historical Society.

Mr. Bahnsen of Perrysburg has been portraying historical personalities for several years, including characters such as abolitionist John Brown; writer Henry David Thoreau, and naturalist John Muir. Two years ago he gave a living history presentation as Johnny Appleseed during the historical society's fall program.

The public, including parents and their children, is invited to the free program at 7 p.m. at Wakeman Hall, 401 Farnsworth Rd., Waterville.
