3 from area appointed to various committees

COLUMBUS - John Hull of Toledo, president of Hull & Associates Inc., has been reappointed by Gov. Bob Taft to the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Release Compensation Board for a term ending July 11, 2008.

The board adopts rules to implement the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Linked Deposit Program and oversees payment of claims on the tank assurance fund for releases that pose a threat to human health or the environment.

Mr. Hull earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University and a master's degree from Stanford University. Board members receive $18.98 per hour.

Dr. Susan Hubbell of Lima, clinical assistant professor at Ohio State University and medical director at St. Rita Medical Center's Department of Physical Medicine, was reappointed to the Physician Loan Repayment Advisory Board, which develops plans to assist doctors in repaying medical school loans, usually as a result of their agreement to practice in underserved areas.

The program also assists in identifying areas where physicians can be placed.

Dr. Hubbell will serve a term through June 30, 2007. She earned her medical degree and a master's in physical medicine at Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Miami University.

Michael Schoenhofer of Lima, executive director of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin counties, was reappointed to the Council on Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services for a term ending July 31, 2007.

The council reviews development and revisions of the statewide plan for alcohol and drug addiction services as well as other action taken by the department. It also acts as adviser to the department's director.

Mr. Schoenhofer earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Meinrad College; bachelor's and master's degrees in theology from Gregorian University; and a master's in social work from OSU. Mr. Schoenhofer is the executive director of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties.

Members of the Physician Loan and Alcohol and Drug Addiction boards are compensated for expenses only for their time and services.
