2 area men reappointed by Taft to Hispanic panel

COLUMBUS Two Toledo-area men have been reappointed by Gov. Bob Taft to the Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs, which studies and reports to the governor and lawmakers on the problems and programs concerning Spanish-speaking people.

Phillip Barbosa of Toledo, project coordinator for Hillenbrand/Zaleski Development and 20N Gallery, and Simon Rodriguez of Perrysburg, owner of SeaGate Graphics Inc., will serve through Oct. 7, 2008. Mr. Barbosa is also president of the Ohio Republican Hispanic Assembly.

Mr. Barbosa holds a bachelor s degree from the University of Toledo and works as project coordinator for Hillenbrand/Zaleski Development and 20N Gallery.

Members are compensated $18.98 per hour, plus expenses, with no member being compensated for more than one day a month.
