COLUMBUS, Ohio The latest Ohio Poll finds that a majority of Ohio voters favor both casino-style gambling and access to medicinal marijuana.

Six in 10 voters surveyed supported legalizing casinos, and 73 percent agreed that doctors should be able to prescribe marijuana for medical reasons.

Strong majorities remain steadfast on other moral issues, however. Sixty-one percent oppose legalizing all marijuana, 57 percent oppose legalizing gay marriage, 70 percent oppose abolishing the death penalty and 78 percent oppose lowering the drinking age from 21 to 18.

The phone poll was conducted by the University of Cincinnati's Institute for Policy Research between April 16 and April 27. It has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3 percent.
