MASON, Ohio Kings Island amusement park says it has reopened a roller coaster a day after the death of a man who had been riding it.

Park spokesman Don Helbig says state inspectors found the Firehawk was operating properly Sunday. A man who was having trouble breathing after riding the roller coaster died Saturday.

Helbig said ride operators noticed the man was having trouble breathing.

Emergency personnel took the man to a hospital, where he later died.

Helbig said Kings Island had voluntarily closed the ride.

The park s Web site says the Firehawk travels at 51 mph along 3,340 feet of track and has five inversions.
