CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — An Ohio family is pondering the what ifs after an out-of-control car went airborne, smashed into their house and landed just above their sleeping 3-year-old son.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Mike Crispen said the car was so close to Gavin Snyder that the boy's father scraped his arm trying to pull his son free.

Jarold Snyder told the Chillicothe Gazette for a story Thursday that nearly the entire car ended up inside his house.

The highway patrol said the accident happened early Tuesday morning near Chillicothe, about 50 miles south of Columbus, when 26-year-old Zackery Eutsler of Chillicothe lost control of his car.

Crispen says Eutsler was cited with driving while impaired and failure to control his vehicle.

Eutsler, who is not listed in the Chillicothe area, could not be reached.
