Amber Alert canceled for 7-year-old Ohio boy

ELYRIA, Ohio — A missing 7-year-old boy who police in northern Ohio thought was in danger has been recovered and is safe.

Authorities in Elyria said Monday that David Bruce was found unharmed by police in Cleveland, more than 20 miles away.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued for issued for the child hours earlier. Investigators said they believed he'd been taken by his mother's boyfriend, and they said the man threatened to harm the boy.

Police say the boyfriend is at large.

There was no immediate word on whether any charges would be filed.
