COLUMBUS — A judge has outlined restrictions on the calls and letters of a man jailed on accusations of kidnapping three women and holding them in his home and raping them over a decade.

Judge Michael Russo says defendant Ariel Castro is allowed to write or call only his mother and sister, and that calls will be monitored by an officer.

The judge says three-way calls aren’t allowed and calls will be terminated if anyone besides Castro’s mother or sister is heard on the call.

Russo’s order was relayed to Castro June 26, according to Cuyahoga County jail logs released today.

The 52-year-old Castro has pleaded not guilty to hundreds of rape and kidnapping charges.

A message was left with Castro’s attorney.
