Ohio mom posing as daughter in court for traffic ticket found in contempt, ordered jailed
8/24/2013CINCINNATI — A Cincinnati woman accused of posing as her daughter for a court appearance over a traffic ticket has been found in contempt and ordered jailed.
Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Dwane Mallory, brother of Mayor Mark Mallory, fined the woman $50 on Friday for driving without a license and she went on her way.
But The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that someone in the courtroom audience soon after told court staff that the woman was not 22-year-old Sarah Oliver, but her mother, 39-year-old Tomeka Oliver.
Mallory ordered Tomeka Oliver back in the courtroom, confirmed that she was not Sarah Oliver, and immediately cited her for contempt and ordered her jailed until Sept. 20.
He also issued an arrest warrant for Sarah Oliver, who has several driving-related convictions in her record.
