DAYTON, Ohio — Authorities say a 13-year-old student was arrested after a bomb threat was written on the wall of a school in western Ohio.

The eighth-grade Botkins student was booked into the West Central Juvenile Detention Center near Troy and charged with inducing panic.

The Dayton Daily News reports today the threat was written in pencil on the school’s wall and reported to police Thursday afternoon.

The school was evacuated and searched after the threat was discovered but nothing was found.

Investigators are looking into whether the threat was a copycat incident stemming from a similar threat at a nearby school in Anna earlier this week.
