SANDUSKY -- Responders have cleared the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound Ohio Turnpike near mile marker 110 in Erie County, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The late-morning crash near the Sandusky-Bellevue interchange involved at least one tractor trailer and three vehicles, with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. One person was transported to Firelands Hospital, and two other people also were transported for medical care. Names of the injured were not immediately available.

Traffic was slowed through the area for several hours, but by mid-afternoon all lanes had reopened, troopers at the patrol's turnpike headquarters in Berea, Ohio said.
