BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — Police believe a body pulled from Lake Erie in northeast Ohio is that of a 75-year-old man reported missing over the weekend.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group reports that police in Bay Village, west of Cleveland, pulled a body from a car submerged in the lake Sunday morning. The body matched the description of the man reported missing Saturday night.

His name hasn’t been released. Police don’t believe foul play was involved, but they are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death. The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

Police said it appeared the man drove off the cliffs on the east end of Cahoon Park.
