GLOUSTER, Ohio — Authorities in southeastern Ohio have confirmed the body of a missing man was found in a cistern under his porch.
Police in Glouster in Athens County found the body in a search Monday night after neighbors reported property had been removed from the house. Prosecutor Keller Blackburn confirmed today that it was the body of 63-year-old Paul Roberts, who lived at the home and hadn’t been seen for about two weeks.
Blackburn says a coroner determined Roberts died of blunt force trauma.
Police have arrested Roberts’ adult son and charged him with vandalism. The son, Paul J. Roberts, is in custody and has not entered a plea. Online court records listed no attorney for him today.
