Port Authority CEO named to Lake panel

COLUMBUS — Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority President and CEO Paul L. Toth, Jr., was recently named by Gov. John Kasich to the Ohio Lake Erie Commission.

The appointment represents the last of five added commissioners to the panel, all named by the governor, to bring it to a full complement of 11. The position is unpaid.

The commission was created to protect the lake’s water resources as well as to promote it for economic development. Mr. Toth of Waterville will serve until he or the governor decides otherwise.

Other recent area appointments include:

●Briann Y. Patek of Toledo to the Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council for a term ending Oct. 26, 2014.

●Jan L. Osborn of Pandora to the Broadcast Educational Media Commission for a term beginning Oct. 10, and ending June 30, 2016.

●Mona L. Willamowski of Lima, Ohio, to the James A. Rhodes State College Board of Trustees for a term ending on Aug. 31, 2016. She is an attorney and wife of John Willamowski, a 3rd District Court of Appeals judge and former state representative.
