Ohio Supreme Court suspends law licenses for 263 attorneys over failure to register

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Supreme Court has suspended law licenses for 263 attorneys because they failed to properly register for the two-year period that started Sept. 1.

Those attorneys suspended Friday won’t be able to practice law until they meet registration requirements and pay both registration fees and $300 for reinstatement.

The court says those with newly suspended licenses represent a very small fraction of the total active and corporate attorneys in Ohio who are required to register.

The court says the offending attorneys were sent letters to notify them about the registration problem.
