LIMA, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Transportation is soliciting public comments on projects proposed in its Lima district for construction during the next few years.

The most extensive involves resurfacing State Rt. 309 between U.S. 30 and a point 0.2 miles west of Eastown Road in American Township in Allen County, including curb and gutter replacement in Elida and widening it to five lanes east of Pioneer Road. Addition of sidewalks along the five-lane section is under consideration. Work is scheduled for the spring and summer of 2016.

In Upper Sandusky, ODOT plans to rehabilitate Marseilles Avenue/Eighth Street between High Street and Wyandot Avenue, including waterline replacement. Construction is to begin next spring.

All comments should be directed to Stacy Schimmoeller at the ODOT District 1 office, 1885 N. McCullough St., Lima; by phone at 419-999-6854, or via email at stacy.schimmoel-ler@dot.state.oh.us.

ODOT asks that those submitting comments refer to the state's project identification numbers, available on department Web sites, in their remarks, and that all comments be submitted by Dec. 6.
