COLUMBUS  — Prices at the pump are down in Ohio to start the work week.

The average early today was $3.12 for a gallon of regular gas in the survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s down 12 cents from last week.

Some stations around the state were even below the $3 mark. Healthy production, lower demand and other factors are keeping prices lower this month.

The national average today was $3.23, down 3 cents from last week.

The Ohio average is 9 cents lower than a month ago, and 6 cents lower than this time last year.
