5-year-old, mom shot in head in Ohio; girl dies
1/20/2014CLEVELAND — Police say a gunman shot a 5-year-old girl and her mother in the head while they sat in a vehicle in Cleveland, killing the child.
Authorities say the shooting happened at about 11 p.m. Sunday on the city’s west side. They say a man in a green SUV pulled up to the vehicle, got out and opened fire, striking the two victims. He then fled.
The 33-year-old mother is being treated at MetroHealth Medical Center.
No arrests have yet been made.
