MARIETTA, Ohio — A black bear standing upright, some moose, wild boar and a chipmunk in a hollow tree limb are among more than 100 mounted animals for sale in an unusual auction in southeast Ohio.

The Marietta Times reports the displays included in the Sunday auction came from the estate of an avid Ohio hunter, Frank Lamp of Dexter City.

His daughter says Lamp started having the animals mounted in the 1980s and displayed them at his home, where he added rooms to make space for them. One included a fireplace, a waterfall and a mountain lion he killed in Idaho and had mounted.

Also displayed at the auction center in Oak Grove is Lamp’s favorite hunting dog, named Boy. Lamp had the dog mounted after it died in the 1980s.
