BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Authorities in a Phoenix suburb say they’ve arrested a man who’s wanted for armed robbery in Ohio.

Buckeye police say 53-year-old Samuel Culver was taken into custody Wednesday.

Officers were called about a suspicious vehicle and encountered Culver outside a home.

He told police that he would go into the house and get the owner of the vehicle.

Police say a records check was conducted and it was discovered that Culver had two felony warrants for armed robbery in Ohio.

They say Culver refused to come out of the house and a SWAT team was called in to negotiate with him by telephone.

He was later found in the attic and arrested.

Police say Culver is awaiting extradition to Ohio. It was unclear Thursday if he has an attorney yet.
