CLEVELAND — The county medical examiner in Cleveland says a 15-year-old boy believed to have been fatally shot at an apartment suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

The examiner’s office on Friday identified the teenager as Rasheen Bledsoe Jr. of suburban Maple Heights.

Cleveland police say he was shot while he and two or three other juvenile males were visiting an adult’s apartment. Police say the adult reported hearing a loud noise and then seeing the other males flee the apartment, with one of them holding a gun. The injured teenager was found unresponsive and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead early Thursday morning.

Police say homicide investigators are trying to identify those involved.
