Jerry Seinfeld coming to town

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for an Oct. 10 performance by Jerry Seinfeld at the Stranahan Theater, 4645 Heatherdowns Blvd. Tickets are $47, $62, and $77 from the box office, 419-381-8851; Ticketmaster, 419-474-1333, and Ticketmaster.com.

The 5th annual Toledo Music Festival will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Headliners, 4500 North Detroit Ave. In addition to 45 local acts, there will be 11 regional groups performing on four stages. Advanced tickets for the 12-hour, all-ages show are $12, $15 at the door.

The Toledo Society of Magicians will host a show featuring local magicians at 7 p.m. Saturday at Maumee Bay State Park Amphitheater.

The final concert of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library's Brown Bag Concert Series will feature Glinda's Bubble at 12:15 today on the north lawn of the Main branch, 325 Michigan St. One hour of free parking is available.

The Toledo Jazz Society's Jazz in the Garden continues with a performance by Jean Holden & Company from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow at Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Dr.

Steve Hall with the Shotgun Red Band will take the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Ritz Theatre, 30 South Washington St., Tiffin. Tickets are $20 from the box office, 419-448-8544 or online at www.ritztheatre.org.

The 24th annual Michigan Renaissance Festival opens this weekend in Holly, Mich. The festival continues weekends through Sept. 28. Information: www.michrenfest.com.

AUDITIONS

The Oregon Community Theatre will hold auditions for The Wizard of Oz Aug. 19 and 20 at Christ United Methodist Church, 5757 Starr Ave., Oregon. Children ages 6-10 will audition from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and adults and those over 10 years of age will audition from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Production dates will be Oct. 31-Nov. 1 and Nov. 7-9.
