Beginning Monday, Cumulus Media-owned WLQR-AM, 1470, is dropping its ESPN programming and sports talk for a political bent with Talk Radio 1470.

The weekday mostly conservative syndicated line-up consists of Don Imus from 6 to 9 a.m., Geraldo Rivera from 9 a.m. to noon, Mike Huckabee from noon to 3 p.m., Dave Ramsey from 3 to 6 p.m., Mark Levin from 6 to 9 p.m., John Batchelor from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., and "Red Eye Radio" from 1 to 6 a.m.

"Talk Radio 1470 is promised to be this region's foremost talk radio station delivering unbiased, balanced, and compelling content," said Cumulus Media Market Manager Matt Spaulding. "Talk radio 1470 will be a communicator to the audience we serve, not a dictator of opinions. Toledo deserves a better talk radio listening experience and Cumulus Media is going to give it to them."

WLQR-AM will continue to broadcast Detroit Tigers baseball and Bowling Green State University football and basketball games, and WLQR-FM will continue its affiliation with ESPN sports talk programming.
