Radio host, psychologist to offer parenting tips

Nationally syndicated radio host Ray Guarendi will be in Sylvania from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 17 to share parenting wisdom and advice.

Mr. Guarendi will speak about how parents are fundamental to a child’s positive growth. His talk, titled Standing Strong as a Parent, aims to address the issues parents face today and provide parents with guidelines and help their children make safe life choices.

“The role of the parent is a strong influence on our children’s decisions,” said Deb Chany, Sylvania Community Action Team executive director. The action team is sponsoring Mr. Guarendi’s visit.

A clinical psychologist, Mr. Guarendi offers expert advice about ways parents can be positive role models for their children. He has appeared on Oprah and CBS This Morning.
