Recent advertisements and on-air teases for WPOS 102.3 FM, a Christian radio station that broadcasts from Holland, were touting that “something … is coming.” On Monday, at the beginning of the “Mornings with Craig & Becky” show at 6 a.m., that something was revealed.

WPOS took “Proclaim FM” as its identity to intentionally proclaim the Christian faith, and instituted some new programming throughout the day to appeal to listeners ranging from children to grandparents — while also retaining teaching and preaching programs and its traditional Southern gospel music on the schedule.

An outdoor ribbon-cutting scheduled for 9 a.m. was moved inside to the studio door because of rain.

“It's a brand new chapter in the history of WPOS,” said general manager Craig Magrum, who is also the morning-show host alongside Becky Vee, the show’'s producer and station promotions director.
