Actress Katie Holmes, a Toledo native, stopped by the ‘‍Today’‍ show early today to talk about her new movie ‘‍The Giver’‍ with morning TV host Matt Lauer.

‘‍The Giver’‍ is based on the Newbery Medal-winning novel of the same name by Lois Lowry. The movie opens in theaters Friday, Aug. 15.
