Doom 3

There's a certain feeling - that raised hair on the back of your neck and a heightened awareness laced with thick layers of impending . well Doom - that is hard to match on many other games. Monsters await you at every corner like crouched jack-in-the-boxes with fangs, keeping you on edge as you walk the dimly lit corridors with extreme trepidation.

Doom 3 shows its bared teeth on the Xbox platform. It is visually beautiful and remains a solid ride as a first-person shooter.

Competing against the likes of Halo 2, Doom holds its own and then some. Hardcore "Doomers" will want to shell out the extra 10 bucks for the Collector's Edition, which includes the original Doom and Doom II as well as co-op and split-screen deathmatch modes.
