DETROIT — Today’s game between the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals has been postponed because of rain.

The game was called about an hour before the scheduled first pitch, with temperatures in the 30s and an occasional drizzle. Significantly more rain was expected throughout the day.

Detroit took the first two games of this three-game series. Today’s game will be made up June 19, when the Royals are back in Detroit for what was initially supposed to be a three-game series followed by an off day.
