University of Toledo assistant men's basketball coach Mike Jackson resigned yesterday to accept the same position at Dayton.

Jackson, 29, will join the staff of recently hired coach Brian Gregory, the former Michigan State and Rocket assistant. Jackson served on Stan Joplin's staff for two seasons, after spending five years at his alma mater, Detroit-Mercy.

A four-year letter winner, Jackson was the first Detroit player to score 1,000 points and make 400 assists in his career. He ended with 1,125 points and 422 assists.
