Stenback wins steeplechase, Williams third in long jump at MAC

Senior Ebba Stenback won the 3,000-meter steeplechase and junior April Williams took third in the long jump to help push Toledo into a seventh-place tie at the end of the second day of the 2006 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the UT Track.

Stenback's time of 10:14.55 in the steeplechase was the third-fastest time in MAC Championship history. The two fastest times are both held by former Rocket Briana Shook.

Williams' best leap in the long jump was 6.19 meters, the exact distance she jumped at the NCAA indoor champ-

ionships in March but only good enough for third place today. Lashonda Davis of Miami won the event with a 6.40 mark.

Today is the third and final day of competition, beginning with the pole vault at 10 a.m.
