University of Toledo senior quarterback Aaron Opelt is "probable" to play against Temple on Saturday at the Glass Bowl, while freshman quarterback Austin Dantin is "doubtful," UT coach Tim Beckman said Monday.

Opelt sat out last week's 20-19 win over Northern Illinois with a bruised right (throwing) shoulder, but Beckman said Opelt "could have played."

Dantin suffered a high right ankle sprain in the fourth quarter against the Huskies. Third-string junior quarterback Alex Pettee entered in relief and will start this week if Opelt isn't cleared to play.

In other news, senior safety Barry Church was named the Mid-American Conference West Division special teams player of the week after he blocked two kicks against Northern Illinois.
