A second Toledo man has been charged with beating up a man who reportedly stabbed a 17-year-old boy on the University of Toledo campus.

Sheldon Wendel, 20, of 1909 Christie St. is charged with felonious assault and certain acts prohibited, and was arraigned Wednesday in Toledo Municipal Court. His bond was set at $15,000 with the option to post a 10 percent cash bond.

Mr. Wendel is one of two men accused of beating up Joseph Bialecki on Aug. 23 during a group dispute on campus, according to court records. Mr. Bialecki, 18, of 10307 Stark St. in Temperance, suffered an orbital fracture, broken nose, and cuts on his hands and feet.

Mr. Bialecki is charged with felonious assault for allegedly stabbing Cody Halka, 17. Police say the stabbing is what reportedly prompted the fight.

Also charged in the incident is Domenic Hudson, 18, of the Christie Street address. Mr. Hudson is charged with felonious assault, failure to comply, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest. He is also accused of beating up Mr. Bialecki.

All suspects posted bond and have been released from the Lucas County jail. Additional court appearances are scheduled for September.
