Toledo Rockets win Sports Classic

DETROIT — The University of Toledo basketball team wrapped up the three-day 2k Sports Classic today with a 94-74 win over Florida Atlantic.The Rockets, who are 6-0 for the first time since 1998-99, were 34 of 36 from the free-throw line.

Justin Drummond led four players in double figures with 23 points. Rian Pearson had 17 points, and Nathan Boothe and Julius Brown contributed 12 a piece.

Toledo, competing in its fourth game in seven days, made its first 24 free throws.

Pablo Bertone led FAU (1-6) with 29 points.
