Brown beats buzzer to give Toledo a win against Buffalo

University of Toledo guard Julius Brown (20) hits the game winning shot against Buffalo forward Xavier Ford (35) today.

Julius Brown knocked down a 15-footer at the buzzer to give the University of Toledo a 67-65 win today over Buffalo in a thriller at Savage Arena.

With 2.4 seconds to go, Matt Smith inbounded the ball at full court, throwing a baseball pass to Nathan Boothe. Boothe handed off to Brown, who beat the buzzer for his 20th point.

UT (14-2, 2-1) got 13 points from J.D. Weatherspoon and 12 a piece from Justin Drummond and Rian Pearson.

Javon McCrea led Buffalo (8-5, 2-1) with 20 points.
