The University of Toledo basketball team erased a 12-point lead with three minutes left in regulation tonight and went on to stun visiting Western Michigan, 96-85.

The game, played between West division contenders, was for the inside track to the top seed in the Mid-American Conference tournament. The Rockets, who also tied the school record of 24 wins, will attain the top seed with wins to close the regular season against Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan. WMU, UT, and Buffalo are all square with 12-4 league marks.

Justin Drummond led Toledo with 26 points, including back to back lay ups for a tie at the end of regulation. Two free throws by Jonathan Williams gave Toledo its first lead of the night with 48 seconds to play.

The loss snaps WMU's eight-game win streak.
