Notes: CMU earned its first division title in school history, ending Toledo’s four-year reign atop the West. ... These teams met Jan. 4 with CMU erasing a two-point halftime deficit to win the MAC opener 84-71. MAC player of the year candidate Crystal Bradford led the Chippewas with 24 points and 13 rebounds. ... Bradford tied her career-high of 36 points and added 16 rebounds in CMU’s 85-72 overtime win Thursday over Ball State. Jas’Mine Bracey added 21 boards and 11 points. ... UT, which remains in contention for the coveted fourth seed in the MAC tournament, dropped two games last week — by one point to Western Michigan and in overtime at Northern Illinois. ... The Rockets enter today trailing Buffalo by one-half game and leading Western Michigan by one-half game. Both teams own a tiebreaker over UT. ... UT will host Eastern Michigan on Wednesday before wrapping up its regular season Saturday at Ball State.
