Toledo tops Eastern Michigan, advances to MAC final

CLEVELAND — The University of Toledo topped Eastern Michigan, 59-44, tonight in the Mid-American Conference basketball semifinals.

The Rockets will be looking for their first NCAA tournament berth in 34 years when they play Western Michigan in the title game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

UT (27-5) led the entire second half. A Justin Drummond corner 3-pointer pushed the lead to 12 with 3:51 to go.
