A pretrial for Thursday on the University of Toledo point shaving case has been canceled over a change in counsel for one of the co-conspirators.

John Minock, attorney for Ghazi Manni, has withdrawn from the case. A reason was not made public.

A public defender has been appointed to represent Manni.

Manni, who is accused of bribing UT players from 2004 and 2006 and betting on games, has cut ties with two counsels in the past eight months. Neil Fink and Kim Stout asked off the case in September, saying their relationship with Manni had broken down.
