Duke on UT’s schedule; BG will visit Dayton

The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University on Wednesday announced their 2014-15 basketball schedules.

The UT men, coming off a 27-win season, open at home against Northern Arizona on Nov. 16. The Rockets have three major nonconference road games: VCU on Nov. 18, Oregon on Nov. 21, and Duke on Dec. 29. MAC play begins for the Rockets Jan. 6 at home against Central Michigan.

Bowling Green begins Nov. 15 at Drake, and Chris Jans' home debut will come against Wright State on Nov. 19. 

The Falcons also have nonconference road games at Dayton (Dec. 9) and South Florida (Dec. 28). BG's first MAC game is at Kent State on Jan. 7.

The Falcons and Rockets will play only once in the regular season. They meet Jan. 24 at Savage Arena.

UT's women's team opens Nov. 14 at Cleveland State, and at home against St. Bonaventure on Nov. 20. The Rockets play in three tournaments before conference play opens, including their own Glass City Classic on Dec. 13 and 14.

UT's first MAC game is Jan 3. against Miami at Savage Arena.

BG's women open at home against Bucknell on Nov. 14. The Falcons play in two tournaments and also play host to Cincinnati on Dec. 7 at the Stroh Center. The Falcons' MAC opener also is at home, a Jan. 3 matchup with Ball State.

Just like the men, the women's teams only will have one matchup in the regular season. Toledo travels Jan. 31 to Bowling Green.
