With Toledo sitting on the fringe of making it into the ECHL playoffs, the Walleye put together a full 60-minute effort on both ends of the ice last night.

Newcomer Tony Romano was brought in to provide an offensive spark and did as the forward had a goal and an assist. Maxime Tanguay, the team's leading scorer, tallied the game winner and veteran Scooter Smith got Toledo started with a first-period goal.

The Walleye skated away with a 3-1 triumph over Cincinnati before a crowd of 6,527 at Lucas County Arena. Goalie Jordan Pearce earned the second star of the game, finishing with 30 saves.
