INDIANAPOLIS — The Mud Hens gave up a bases-loaded single to Jared Goedert in the bottom of the 10th inning and lost 3-2 to Indianapolis.
The game was scoreless until the fifth, when the Indians’ Matt Hague doubled and scored on a single by Brett Carroll.
Toledo scored a run in the sixth off former Mud Hen Brooks Brown as Danny Worth singled, then scored on a double by Jordan Lennerton.
In the seventh the Hens took the lead as Argenis Diaz singled, and the Indians’ Tony Sanchez made a throwing error on a sacrifice by Quintin Berry to put runners on first and third. Diaz then scored on a wild pickoff attempt by Brown.
But that lead lasted just two pitches into the seventh as Jordy Mercer slammed a home run to tie the game.
