EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Toledo Walleye ended a scoring drought tonight but could not put a halt to a lengthy losing streak.

Toledo (5-10-2) ended a scoreless streak that had lasted 200 minutes and 57 seconds, spanning three-plus games. But Evansville (11-4-3) still handed the Walleye a 7-3 setback, the team's fourth straight loss.

Trevor Parkes, Toledo's leading scorer, had a goal and an assist. Parkes tied the game at 3 early in the third period, but the IceMen then scored four unanswered goals to pull away.

Forward Martin Frk ended the Walleye's scoreless streak 10:27 into the opening period. Kyle Rogers and Max Nicastro assisted on Frk's fourth goal of the season that tied the game at 1.

Evansville went up 1-0 just 5:36 into the game on Jeremy Langlois' seventh of the season.

The IceMen regained a one-goal lead when Andre Bouvet-Morrissette scored early in the second period.

Toledo then scored its first power play goal in its last six games to tie it back up. Marek Tvrdon scored on assists by Russ Sinkewich and Parkes midway through the second.

But Bouvet-Morrissette, who had four points, scored again a little more than two minutes later to put Evansville up 3-2.

Parkes then tallied his 11th goal of the season to tie it back up at 3 early in the third period on an assist from Joe Gleason.

But less than two minutes later Daultan Leveille put Evansville back in front and Patrick Kennedy then made it 5-3 midway through the third. The IceMen added another on Peter Sakaris' goal. Former Walleye defenseman Matt Krug then made it 7-3 in the waning moments.

Veteran goalie Hannu Toivonen got his second start for Toledo and finished with 18 saves on 25 shots. Toivonen, who signed a contract on Nov. 26, played in 61 NHL games with the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues from 2005-08.

The Walleye had not scored since the third period of a game against Evansville on Nov. 23. Toledo has lost eight of its last nine games.

The teams meet again on Saturday night in Evansville at 8:15. Toledo plays the IceMen three more times in its next four games. The Walleye return home Wednesday for a game against Cincinnati.
