Toledo Walleye forward Martin Frk has been called up to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.

Frk has produced nearly a point per game since joining the Walleye in early November. The rookie forward has 13 points (5 goals and 8 assists) in just 15 contests.

The 20-year-old started his Walleye career with a six-game point streak. The native of the Czech Republic had six penalty minutes with no points earlier this season with Grand Rapids.

Frk is the third Toledo player to be called up to Grand Rapids since Monday.

The Walleye also lost their leading scorer, forward Trevor Parkes, to a promotion to the Griffins.

Parkes led the Walleye in all scoring categories. Parkes led in goals scored with 13, in assists (11), and in points (24) in 21 games this season.

Toledo also lost forward Louis-Marc Aubry to a call-up to Grand Rapids.

The Walleye (7-12-3), who lost 7-3 to Evansville on Wednesday, play at Kalamazoo today and Saturday before returning home on Dec. 28 against Cincinnati.
