Walleye to take on Kalamazoo, Fort Wayne in Winterfest
1/22/2014The ECHL announced today that the Walleye will face Kalamazoo and Fort Wayne in a pair of outdoor games later this year and early next year at Fifth Third Field.
The Walleye will face Kalamazoo on Dec. 27, then face Fort Wayne on Jan. 3, 2015. The Walleye will play in the first two outdoor games in ECHL history, and both games will be part of the Walleye's Winterfest presented by ProMedica.
Fifth Third Field, the home of the International League's Toledo Mud Hens, will be converted into an outdoor hockey rink, and Winterfest will begin Dec. 26.
