Walleye fall to Orlando

The Toledo Walleye nearly erased a three-goal deficit at the start of the second period but lost their seventh game in a row tonight at the Huntington Center, a 7-3 loss to Orlando.

Tyler Murovich, Scott Tanski, and Blake Kessel gave the Solar Bears a 3-0 lead after the first period but Travis Novak and Alden Hirschfeld cut Orlando's lead to 3-2 less than four minutes into the second.

However, Jacob Cepis and Murovich answered with two goals to help Orlando take a 5-2 lead into the third, and Mickey Lang and Cody Wild scored third-period goals for the Solar Bears.

Aaron Clarke also scored in the third for Toledo.

Jared Coreau made 24 saves for Toledo before he was relieved by Mac Carruth (five saves) early in the third. Cody Reichard made 32 saves for Orlando
