Explore Toledo through the lens of its rich brewing history during the History and Hops Brewery Tour. The Toledo History Museum hosts the bus tour and beer tasting on Saturday and on Sept. 15, providing guides to narrate a multimedia bus tour of historic brewery-related sites. Tours wrap up with a brewery tour and tasting.

Tours begin and end at Black Cloister Brewing Co., 619 Monroe St., on Saturday, and at Maumee Bay Brewing Co., 27 Broadway, on Sept. 15. They run 3 to 5 p.m.

■ The Toledo Lucas County Public Library hosts Open Book, featuring author Florence Williams, on Thursday. Williams is the author of The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes Us Happier, Healthier, and More Creative. She’s also a journalist whose work appears in Outside magazine, the New York Times, National Geographic, and numerous other publications.

Her presentation is free and begins in the Main Library’s McMaster Auditorium at 7 p.m. The library is at 325 Michigan Ave. Toledo Metroparks is co-presenting the program.

Dean Ford and the Beautiful Ones perform a tribute to Prince at the Civic Music Hall on Saturday. The New England-based tribute band got together in 2012 and promises “a show as close as you will ever get to the real thing.”

The show begins at 8 p.m. The Civic Music Hall is at 135 S. Byrne Rd. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door. (Concert-goers under 21 pay $20 at the door.)

Thomas McClary of the Commodores kicks off the “Part 2” of Hollywood Casino Toledo’s Pop. Rock. ‘N’ Roll concert series on Sunday. McClary is a founding member of the group that’s known for hits like “Brick House,” “Three Times a Lady,” and “Easy.” He performs these and others at 7 p.m.

Series concerts are free and open to attendees 21 or older. McClary performs in the H Lounge of Hollywood Casino Toledo, 1968 Miami St.
